Celebrating 20 years!

We are celebrating 20 years of business! Hard to believe all that time has passed so quickly!

Kats'N Us started out as our second business, that we did after hours from a small room in our house. it has now has become our main business and has practically taken over the entire house!

It's been an incredible journey filled with 20 years of numerous resuce kitties that have stolen our hearts. 20 years of offering classic cat toys as well as creating new ones. Now we're excited to see what the future 20 years hold.

As preperation for this post, we've gone through so many pictures of our rescue kitties over the years. It has been so much fun to look back at all the memories! We have had 15 cats in that last 20 years, but not all at the same time. We have written blog posts about each of them so if you want to catch up please check those out! Here is a synopsis:

Odie the catOdie - Odie came to us before we started the company. We called him the Pied Piper of cats. We had several other cats follow him home. Including Mama cat who was pregnant at the time. She was so in love with him. We truly enjoyed him for 18 yrs!

Bob the catBob - Bob Owned the 2 block radius of our house. During his tenure we had no tomcats, squirrels, mice or any other type of animal not belonging in the area. He trained the others to protect the house too. Gotta love a Manx!

Mama catMama Cat and her 4 kittens - Mama had 3 1/2 legs. She was missing half of her front leg from birth and was about 8 yrs. old when she followed Odie home. We decided she'd had enough with wandering the streets, but she was feral and made sure her kittens were the same. They all stuck around and she lived with us for another 7 yrs.

Katie the catBarney the catLucy the catLinus the cat

4 kittens - Linus, Lucy, Barney, and Katie - Mama's kittens. Even though they were a bit feral due to Mama's persistance, they enjoyed our company for many years. Lucy loved to help in the garden. Linus kept to himself. Katie was bonded to Mama and never left her side. Barney was actually the only one we could get close to. Bob kept them all in line.

Lucky the cat Lucky - Lucky was a very cute gray tabby that was found in the middle of the street. Scared but not badly hurt. "Lucky" to be alive. We were always find him sleeping in a chair in the backyard. Happy go Lucky!

Charlie the catCharlie - Charlie came to us after Bob's passing. He was actually one of our nieghbors cats, that one day decided to live with us. Perhaps he knew we needed someone to help with the loss. A very laid back cat that just loved life. He was only with us for a short time but was a wonderful cat.

Buddy the catAfter Bob, Mama and the kittens passed over the rainbow bridge, we acquired Buddy. He was an apartment cat for his first year of his life. Once he discovered our kitty door, we could hardly keep him inside. We would always find him lounging in the backyard.

Tucker the catTucker & PetePete the cat

The first of 2 orange Brothers - Tucker and Pete - After the loss of Lucky at the age of 17, our vet told us about 2 orange brothers that needed a home. Both Siberian Forest cats (lots of fur!) but Pete had Manx in him so lots of fur in a little body. Beautiful cats. Tucker was always chasing something and with his fluffy long hair he looked like he was flying. Pete with his short legs, chased things that stayed close to the ground. Buddy had some buddies!

Frankie the catFrankie - Buddy had passed too soon, then Tucker unexpectedly as well. To cheer Pete up, we got him a friend. Frankie and Pete were inseparable. One big fluffy cat rolling around with a small shorthair kitty. So much fun! They were extremely bonded friends.

Chester & CooperChester the catCooper the cat

Chester and Cooper - 2nd of two Brothers - Frankie was so devasted with the unexpected loss of Pete, we had to do something. So these two orange brothers were rescued from Texas. They are inseparable and only get to play with Frankie when he wants to. Frankie has to show them who is Alpha right? Very happy guys always together and always playing like brothers. They follow us everywhere. Always curious to know what we are doing and if they can help.
