The mysterious blue cap

Being in the business of selling cat toys, it is not surprising to find toys mysteriously show up around the house.  We have in-house kitty testers who graciously provide their "services" in exchange for room, board, and endless adoration and have simply decided to expand their personal collection. They are experts on product distribution, and their job is to ensure every corner of the house—under the couch, beneath the refrigerator, behind the toilet—is adequately stocked with the latest inventory. In the end, you don't own the cat toy company; your cats do. You are merely the fulfillment department, and this is simply the cost of doing business with highly particular and very well-fed executives.

With a huge variety of toys to choose from, you would think that our testers would be satisfied...

How many of you find your kitty playing with a random string, piece of paper, bottle cap or something else that is obviously not a kitty toy? I've had a kitty that played with a small piece of cat treat for a minute or two. He would bat that thing all over the hardwood floor, and never actually eat it.

One of our testers has recently been vying for employee of the month, and has gone above the call of duty by aquiring a new "toy". We now have a random blue plastic cap with part of the rim missing sitting on our floor. This is not a small blue cap. It looks like it is from a plastic bottle of juice or asprin or whatever company uses blue caps on. This just appeared one day. I suspect that my little wanderer, Chester, found it outside, off the property and brought it home. Chester is the most likely culprit, as he is the only one playing with it. Like a tresured gem.

It is possible that after garbage day he found it in the street and decided to bring it home as a gift. At least it wasn't a live mouse (although he has done that too)! Maybe he thought he would offer a suggestion for a new cat toy on the site. I am not sure the motive but it would have been fun to watch him find it and bring it home. Perhaps the next step is to look into a GoPro for cats. You just never know the next place you'll find an idea for a "cat toy."

(Due to a lack of product inventory, this item will be coming never to our site)
